Nepal tourism year 2011 A.D. is going on now, let’s visit Nepal and feel it yourself spending much time staying! Kathmandu Durbar square and some pictures around are posted above. It is one of the wonderful place to visit to see beautiful architecture. Kumari house is one of them. Hanuman dhokha and many more temples.Durbar square around are painted and looks clean these days. There is a news about the two treasure houses which was locked for years in the Hanuman dhokha Palace premises, going to open soon with in a month for the year 2011. As the news said, the treasure were used as keeping wealth for use at the times of disaster by Shah king Prithvi Narayan Shah. It was used until Shah family shifted to Narayanhiti palace. So everyone is curious to see what the houses contain. The curiosity will end by February last. Another good part in this square, i find is to feed these lovely birds live around here. Visiting such palace one can feel the time about more than hundred or two hundred years before.
Gosainkunda our destination, is heaven on earth, i say it. We reached there about eight in the morning. Very cold and clean place. But it was sunny then and felt little warmer. The view was fantastic!!! It is said lord Shiva came this place to calm down after he drank ‘kalkut bish’ ( poison ) from the ocean. Everything came out of that ocean and took all those good things by other gods but when that poison came out no one took it and it could destroy the earth. To save earth from that poison lord Shiva drank it all. It gave him lots of troubles and had to come to this place to get rid of such pain. He felt normal again after staying in this place. So this place has magical power, that people believe. If any one who goes there, takes holy bath, his/ her birth is blessed by lord Shiva.
I took holy bath, dipped down three times in such chilled water and did worshiping. We brought back some holy water from waterfall there called Trishuldhara, as prasad ( blessing) for our rest family, relatives and friends back home.We spent there about 4 hrs. had some food in local restaurant. And came back from there about 12 noon. As it started noon, the weather there started changing suddenly. It was getting darker and foggy all around. Chilled wind blew and we felt very cold. It was not raining but mist started and it made us wet. So we had to wear warm cloth plus raincoat. Coming down from Gosainkunda was more tough. Very steep way down and had to watch out for our each and every step. I felt bit headache, may be lack of oxygen. So hurriedly came down without waiting for friends. They were coming slowly back. On the way back we met lots of piligrims because the next day was ekadashi (one of the best day to worship and holy bath)
We straightly came down till Chandanbari and stayed a night there. Bought cheese there in a factory, was good fresh cheese. Then next day walked down till Dhunche and stayed last night there. Then came back home on 2nd of July 2009.
It was a trip with full of pleasant feelings , adventurous and memorable for ever. I suggest you ( who read this ) to try once visiting such a heavenly place.
